Her kind have as many names as they have shapes with their shared traits primarily being that they all have chimerical beast-like attributes. For Lyca specifically she takes on the appearance of a hybridized creature with ape-like limbs fitted with talons that take over the majority of her upper fingers. Her body is hidden by a thick combination of mane and fur alike, mixing platinum blond with white in a ghostly cloak; masking the serpentine body underneath. A wolf-like head makes up her facial features, complete with a pair of deer-like ears and an accompanying set of antlers.

She is at the upper limits in size for her kind, a model for how large and monstrous her kindred can become. Torn fragments of clothing make up her wardrobe, mostly consisting in veils that cover over her serpentine eyes. Wrappings and bandages hang both loosely and tightly around her limbs leaving the rest of her form to be covered over by her thick ghostly coat. Her skin, dark and leathery as it is; is far more easily seen at her nose and on her limbs. An amulet of unknown make can sometimes be seen around her neck, the symbol of her specific clan carved into a blueish white metal.

Her kindred have a specific scent tied to them, a telltale sign for anyone who has ever met or known of the Grimchilde. A mixed scent of iron and rain-on-stone are the first warnings that one of her kind are near.

[b]PERSONALITY:[/b] Lyca, contrary to her appearance; is a protective and motherly soul. A species of adaptable intelligence amongst the Laputans has allowed her to see several points of views and find the ones that benefit her kin the best. It's made her to be an opportunist, one that prefers benefits up front then the promises of something better. She's a realist in that regard, still sitting on the balancing scale between optimism and pessimism. She takes very little for granted, given her kind's tendency to lose their homes to hunters or natural disasters. It can make for a greedy creature and one who envies the safer, softer lives of others. So when she comes across those who have worse then even her? Its not unusual to see her trying to 'adopt', read: kidnap; them into her clan.

Despite her appearance Lyca is not one quick to anger. She's patient, calm- always watching for opportunities over rashly charging ahead. Yet there's no saintly soul to be found here, for when she's angered its about as fierce as one can expect from a ten-foot monstrosity. There's no mercy, pity might keep her to being quick and clean but she will not be in remorse for those who would prefer to be her enemies. For better or for worse, its that same type of mindset that she views the world in general with. It means that while she doesn't judge others based on their pasts or temperaments it also means she doesn't expect anything from others.

[b]HISTORY:[/b] Back before the worlds were dropped on each other Lyca lived among her people within one of the many ruins that dotted Laputa. Her kindred were stationary fierce guardians of their territory who upheld and cherished their familial bonds. For generations they watched over their cherished ruins, protecting other creatures that honored their code and kept to the agreement between her people and theirs. Nothing came for free after all. They would give sacrifices or gifts and in turn, they would protect them from the dangers that often lurked in the areas around their turf. It was a win-win situation to them, their wards were often the targets of many foolhardy creatures and the Grimchilde are nothing if not opportunistic eaters.

But, like many; that all changed when their world broke apart and merged with another.

They were never tech savvy, being so far removed from 'high society' or the more populated towns; so when they were thrown out of their home into this wholly new world- they did not mesh well right away. On top of losing the vast majority of their number in the rupture, they struggled to adapt to laws that didn't fit well with their ways, the clash was almost immediate when they discovered the first earth-dwellers. Granted the first ones they met had tried to kill them, given their appearances and size; but it was the ones who realized the Grimchilde's ability to learn their language so quickly that had led to the first negotiations. Safe to say, with the previous attacks and the way their laws clashed with the clan's workings; it did not work out well. Especially when her clan revealed they had little to no interest in money or 'legalities'. A few more skirmishes between her kin and the ignorant masses eventually led her kindred to being labeled 'dangerous' and eventually hunted.

Its been some time since Lyca lost the last of her clan, forced into a solitary existence of hiding and lurking about like a wraith. She's a 'beast' when its convenient yet falls on her intelligence when the foolish many mistake her for the creatures of the void or seek to hunt her. Establishing a territory has been more then a little difficult on her own, leaving her wandering abandoned buildings or the less traveled paths of alleys or the rare patch of nature. She barters with knickknacks or stolen cash, trying to eke out an existence in the middle of a city that does its best to eliminate her. She would've left long ago if it hadn't been for her clan, her family; out there somewhere. One day she'll find them. One day, they'll be whole again.

[b]DESCRIPTIONS:[/b] The Grimchilde are chimeric creatures that could be a mix between gargoyles and lycanthropes. While they maintain one form, their forms range greatly even if they're directly related to each other- it isn't strange for children to only have one aspect from a parent while looking wholly different from them. Aside from their strange and unique scent- they are known for their uncanny ability to 'appear out of nowhere'. It's their mobility that causes most fright, being able to latch onto several surfaces and drop behind unsuspecting prey or intruders. Those who have tried to hunt or challenge them have them to be a resilient species capable of handling even the more aggressive creatures of Laputa.

[b]FUNCTIONS:[/b][ol type="decimal"][li][b]PRIMARY:[/b] [u]Mobility ('Alien'-esque wall-climbing)[/u] - A flexible skeleton and curved claws capable of piercing stone ensure that this monstrous creature is able to squeeze through any opening that is smaller then its skull and latch onto surfaces whether they be wall, ceilings, or otherwise. It has helped them greatly in catching unsuspecting prey or invaders by surprise. They use this agility to harass and weaken their foes. [/li][li][b]SECONDARY:[/b] [u]Healing (Fractures)[/u] - Guarding a territory requires tenacity and an ability to outlast those who want to take what's yours. A Grimchilde has a much higher regen rate then other creatures, able to mend their wounds in order to fight off the next batch of raiders. [/li][li][b]TERTIARY:[/b] [u]Damage/Durability (Bronze)[/u] - While they aren't the strongest species, being creatures of surprise; their bodies develop natural weapons to fend off or hunt with. Claws, fangs, horns, antlers, limbs- these natural weapons come in all shapes and sizes. They fight smart over brutal tactics, choosing battles of attrition over brawls. [/li][/ol]
[b]LIMITATIONS:[/b]
[b]1. Psionic Weakness[/b] - Her kindred are physical creatures with a natural inclination for melee combat or attack of a solid nature. Invisible attacks caused by mental abilities are like fighting ghosts to them, it freaks them out. Their ability to adapt works against them with attacks on the mind as well, easily more susceptible to mental onslaught then many might think. If they ever encounter a foe with these kinds of abilities, its not strange to see them fleeing or giving them a wide berth. This goes for elemental wind attributes without a scent or obvious color to them. [b](Psionic/Wind Weakness)[/b]

[b]2. Large Claws[/b] - Thanks to the unique shapes of each Grimchilde they each have their own physical weakness. Lyca's is her hands, incapable of using most human-sized weaponry that would require finesse such as guns or things with buttons. She's limited to her own natural weaponry, her claws being too large and clumsy to wield anything that would require more than a firm grasp. [b](Can't have Range)[/b]

[b]3. Wisteria[/b] - While they aren't particularly resistant to poisons and venoms, minus certain individuals; they've shown a particularly strong reaction to wisteria petals. First it shows in the form of hayfever-like allergies just by breathing in the pollen of trees or kept plants but as more uses were tested, they revealed that products that include wisteria within their make (or the plant itself) cause extreme cases of severe allergic reactions. Burning sores, swelling in their limbs and throat, along with other reactions that varied by individual- its proven that it could lead to deadly consequences should they ingest or somehow get something containing wisteria in them.
